The Rou 1 area is underlain by Devonian sedimentary and volcanic rocks of the Stikine Assemblage. A quartz-carbonate rock contains pyrite, malachite and limonite. One sample assayed 0.02 per cent (Assessment Report 20645). In 1990, the Rou 1 and 2 claims were prospected by Kestrel Ltd who collected 54 rock samples.
